Purchased this add-on 3 months ago to replace a phone that fell into a porcelain bowl. The original telephone system consisted of a base and four telephone sets that were used for several years. This replacement phone extension has worked as expected to date. Now the buttons don't respond to touch, there's no speaker function, and the battery doesn't rise above two bars. It is completely non-functional, but still has a display backlight. No combination of button presses or battery drain made a difference. Insufficient. Recommend "do not buy". Just get a brand new base station and phone set.
