This is one of those products that you don't know until you get it. I ordered this because we had lunch with a family member who had a broken oven. I warmed up the lasagna and a large container of green beans, wrapped them in towels, zipped them up and off we went. After two and a half hours the food was still warm and we just unpacked everything and had lunch. So this seems to work well for insulating hot food. Haven't tried it on cold food yet, but I'll probably only use it to keep warm. I like that it has 2 large compartments. It easily fits on a lasagna sheet and a large to-go container.
