I have successfully used this 15ft USB Extension Cable with 2.5GHz WIFI Dongle and EZCAP TV Dongle. The WiFi dongle connection speed may have slowed down slightly, but the ability to position the WiFi dongle outside of the WiFi shadow covering the desktop more than compensates for a slight WiFi connection slowdown. cause a significant increase in noise heard in nearby audio or radio equipment. Often the extension cord didn't even need to be connected to a device to increase the noise level. The easiest and cheapest solution is to try a different USB port. Plug or move the extension cord or external devices to minimize noise, but if this is not possible, you can purchase a ferrite core clamp and attach it to the extension cord (don't pinch the cord!). Typically, the best locations on the cable are near the computer or near the USB device at the end. WARNING, before putting ferrite cores on an extension cord, make sure you can easily "unplug" and remove these ferrite cores if they interfere with the USB device.
