These are great toenail clippers. I have thick toenails, cheap little nail clippers don't do the job effectively. These clippers remind me of the ones I see in nail salons. With a wider opening, they slide better over a thicker nail for a clean cut. The steel they are made of is quite durable, which allows you to use the scissors to cut quickly and accurately. These clippers also have a small Emory-style board built into the clipper handle. Ideal for filing nails quickly and easily. The price wasn't outrageous for what we got. I think they are functional, they cut off a nasty old nail to allow good nails to grow. I would recommend these nail scissors to anyone who has thicker nails due to diabetes or nail fungus.
