I bought this comforter to replace a similar solid color denim comforter I bought from Bed Bath & Beyond for the hot Kansas summer. I chose these because it's too hot to put another blanket on top, so I wanted a cotton blanket that would complement my decor as well as my sleeping temperature. He does both wonderfully. Without the protection of another blanket, however, it easily snags on everything from cat claws to zippered underwear, and after just a few weeks, my lovely new blanket is starting to look a little tatty. The red (slightly dizzying) zigzag pattern basically frames each thread pulled out, and although my 15-year-old blanket had its own hooks, they flattened out and blended into the fabric. They stand out and stand out in a very unattractive way. (I also think my particular blanket had some fading/sun damage due to the packaging which I didn't realize until after I had washed it). Gold. In a veil situation, this is definitely a risky choice.
