I give three stars because they protect the Apple Pencil technically. However, if you use them and draw on an iPad, each clue took me maybe an hour. I'm not stubborn but did a great job with the lines and shading tearing the hole in the top of the silicone completely. It also left a trail of debris on the screen. If you use your pencil to write and are not sluggish, this can work very well. Although the stylus worked fine without them. It's also worth noting that after an hour (when I noticed a hole) the stylus was completely unscrewed. This has never happened unless silicone protectors were used. I wouldn't recommend them except for occasional writing use.
