I used a slider model like this on my last cell phone. It worked really well, but both the base and connector (the part that plugs into your phone) were bulky and you had to be precise when placing your phone on the base. It works the same, except it's a magnet. The connector part on my phone is much thinner and is the best feature in my opinion. The base is bulkier but that doesn't matter as I can mount it anywhere in the car; he doesn't interfere at all. The only thing that bothers me is the magnet. I've read that magnets don't damage your phone. Otherwise great solution!
