Honestly disappointed with the quality

I find these shoes adorable and popular because they cost $15 less than Stride Rite and L'Amour. I even liked the idea that they have working buckles instead of velcro. Until I had to put them on my daughter all the time. It became a real pain. My quality disappointment is actually with the buckles. The leather strap you use to close it immediately started to "wear out" and I was really worried that we would break them, just close it and open it. A few months went by and I decided that I would not buy these shoes again. We just have to be very careful with them and the buckle strap looks a few years older than the rest of the shoe, that's how worn they are. After all, when the packaging says "stain cleaning of leather", they really mean business! I use soft baby wipes on my daughter's Stride Rite shoes to constantly clean them and they work great. I wiped down these shoes once and couldn't believe the napkin washed all the paint away. Pooh. These are children's shoes. Babies get their shoes dirty! It's disappointing that for $35 for toddler shoes you can only get mediocre shoes. Very cute but not very good quality.
