I don't know the light output of these lights but they are the brightest taillights I have ever seen! They are as bright as some bike lights. Nobody can not see the bike at night. Watch the attached video. They also have multiple flashing options, which is nice and increases visibility. They rotate so you can put them in any configuration you like. I put one on my helmet and one under the seat. I feel very comfortable being seen riding at night. My only minor gripe is the hook that catches the rubber mounting strap; it's a bit flat (maybe more depth or more of a curve). I'm just a little worried about the band slipping off that hook and the light falling, but again, this isn't a huge issue or criticism big enough to deduct from five stars. They're a great pair of lights and I'm very glad I found them!
