I bought one of these for my Macbook Pro in December 2018 and will be using it until June 2021. The whole time I've owned it, it caused constant problems. It never completely broke down, but the constant power outages and issues with my two external HDMI displays took too long for me, so I bought something from a different brand to replace it. Only suitable for very tech-savvy people, this docking station can solve many issues related to multiple external display support. I found that I had to reboot the device frequently and even then the monitors wouldn't turn on most of the time, even if other USB devices were working fine. It's a good idea in theory, but it doesn't consistently work. I would decline and spend a little more on another brand. I wish I had done it and I did it anyway.
