Burnt and Stuck - Notions

Bought for smoother, better ironing of topstitching. Immediately the wool and/or the glue holding it together (?) caught fire and stuck to my iron. I thought maybe it was because it was new and would stop, but it didn't. Burns at any ironing temperature. The material is still on my iron. Of course I returned it. I am sorry!
