Review on ✨ Enhance Your Creativity with ASUS PT201Q 19.5 Inch Digitizer Monitor by Eric Guarino

Nice monitor and REPLACEMENT TIPS AVAILABLE!

I really like this monitor. The touchscreen and stylus are amazing and exactly what I wanted for my art. There doesn't seem to be any delay. I haven't tested it with all my programs yet, but it works fine with Photoshop CS4. First let me say that when it first appeared I couldn't get the monitor to display. I called ASUS tech support and they helped me troubleshoot and were also at a loss we all thought "died on arrival". I requested a replacement through Revain and they sent one. When I got the same there is no indication. It turned on, the menu just didn't appear on the monitor from my computer. I decided to test it on my relative's laptop and still nothing. Before discarding it we decided to contact the Geek Squad and after hooking it up they were able to tell it was my old HDMI cable which worked fine on my main monitor but the old PT201Q wasn't compatible for that. So if you're ordering this, you'll want to get a newer HDMI cable (as HDMI cable isn't included, you'll still need it if you want to use HDMI). It comes with a display cable, but my tower doesn't have a display. port, so I also bought an HDMI to DVI adapter cable to be able to use two monitors on two screens. The installation is very easy. (if you seem to have a faulty cable). Revain and ASUS did a good job of helping me. However, what would be more helpful would be more user manuals online for this monitor, which are almost non-existent. The cord on the handle is no problem, I even like it! Its light weight and honestly helps me not to lose my pen. One thing I often hear from artists working digitally with touch pens is that they tend to lose their pens. While I don't have too much to lose, I know it's possible and that will prevent it. If the pen tip reviews bother you, don't worry! They have a replacement for sale! ->http://us.estore.asus.com/products/pt201q-pen-tip The monitor can be installed in 4 different angles. First, you can use it as a tablet, okay big tablet, but you can still use it as a tablet. The way the cords attach and can be secured at the back means less hassle with it (this cord can be seen in pic 2). Second, the traditional stand can be attached to the back (included) which can then be tilted slightly, just don't pinch your fingers, it's heavy metal (last photo). Third, there is a flap at the top of the back panel that can be opened to allow it to be placed on a table and tilted (Figure 3). and fourth: along with the top tab there are two smaller tabs on the back that you can fold back to put it on the table but with a slight tilt but not as much as the top tab alone (fig 4) . This monitor was MADE FOR ARTISTS <3. So overall I am very satisfied with this monitor and can only recommend it. It's nice and comfortable, and the pressure sensitivity is top-notch. I really hope that ASUS will continue and develop this line of monitors. I hope this helps anyone who is going to buy it. :)
