Go Anywhere

I've wanted to buy better portable DVD players for my kids (and myself) for a long time. My old one was so outdated that it could only be used with a wall outlet. 🀣I received these two DVD players just after a major hurricane hit our area. As we commute between our temporary home and our parents' home, we drive a lot more. We absolutely had to entertain them. The package includes a DVD player (main unit), a sub-screen (therefore dual), a 3-in-1 power supply, a car charger, an AV signal cable, a DC cable, an RCA cable, a remote control, 2 fastening straps and a Instructions. To be honest I didn't even need a guide. Setup was easy. Children and husband can do it. I'm not making fun of my husband or putting him down, he just doesn't use much electronics or technology, but he's learning. When using them together, just connect the AV and DC cables from the main unit to the display unit. When connected, both the device and the secondary screen will play a movie, show, etc. simultaneously. There is no lag. I think it's good that each device has its own headphone jack. Each of them can watch and regulate the volume for themselves. Less fighting too. The remote control is also useful. I think it's very cool that it picks up where you left off. So if they're installed in the car and they're watching a movie, if you turn the device off and back on in the middle of the movie, it'll pick up where they left off. It's so helpful. I have a good collection of DVDs but now that there are so many different ways to watch them we don't buy them anymore. One of my favorite features of this portable DVD player is that you can use SD cards and USB sticks to watch content. This allows them to watch almost anything: movies, videos, TV shows, and more. They even have one with their own videos they made on it. As we are in a temporary home and staying with my parents, we have temporarily suspended our satellite service. It sucks we don't have DVRs, but we survive. Probably one of the best features is that I can take the main unit and plug it into any TV and they can watch their content anywhere. Luckily it has an AC adapter and car charger because the battery life is decent. When fully charged, the main unit can work 4 to 5 hours, and 2 to 3 hours when used. We usually leave it plugged in because we conserve battery power when the car is off (e.g. gas station) so their shows/movies aren't interrupted. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of an HDMI port. Almost everything has HDMI, and who knows how long they'll be releasing TVs with AV connectivity. I know that a TV we have doesn't have one. All in all it was a lifesaver and the best investment we've made all year. 🀩😁
