Review on ๐Ÿ” Magnetic NAKOOS Soldering Magnifying Electronics: Enhance Precision and Efficiency by Centerfold Montague

I've passed into the hands of Doctor Octopus!

So long I'll be using the Harbor Freight Helper's Hands, 2 clamps and a small magnifying glass. Yes it handled simple light solder wire or holding small parts and I had to get creative when trying to hold heavier items and it didn't let me down. But now that I have this version of Doc Octopus, I feel like I'm soldering with more confidence! No more rushing to solder before the part falls into the helping hands of Harbor Freight or my clumsy personality accidentally knocks it over. This base is a decent weight and I can't foresee it tipping over. Multi-position magnifier with LED light helps a lot. It's like a mini selfie light. The magnet at the base of the hands is strong! I just wish they had some sort of felt or thin rubber bottom so when you put your hand on it you have a softer grip than a cheap black sticker. - The arms are flexible and the rubber tips on the ends of the clamps prevent the jaws of the clamps from damaging the surface of your object. - The LED light only needs USB power supply. Not one of those cumbersome adapters that clog up your already crowded power strip. Alligator clips are attached with set screws. So if you need to use a different type of clip on the mounts, all you have to do is make an adapter that you insert into the slot on the mount and secure with the set screws provided. I'm definitely not a soldering pro, but these helper hands make the job a lot easier. This will probably get you soldering more than you ever thought possible. I also see a use for it when gluing small parts with glue. You could probably even hold small figures/parts of drawings with it, although the clamps may be too strong. I'll update if I see anything starting to fall apart, but for now it looks like this will work for years.
