I got them because the original PUR filters were nowhere to be found. After installing the first filter, like most people, I found that the flow was extremely high and figured there was no way it could be doing what it was supposed to be doing. I also smelled chlorine from my water after it was "filtered". I have also noticed, as have some other users, that my water coming out of the filter becomes cloudier than my regular tap water with this filter. Don't waste money
