. Great knife. I still have the old gray ones they made when they came out but I was having trouble finding replacement blades for them so I bought these. The measurement guides are very helpful in determining if the paper is lying flat. There is also a wire guide that runs along the blade from end to end so you can quickly see where your paper is being cut. There is a lock on the blade arm that prevents it from opening during movement. The gauge arm has two locking stops that are also strong enough to prevent movement. Rubber feet on the bottom keep the cutter securely in place. I am an artist and use very heavyweight watercolor paper and can successfully cut 2 sheets of 140# cold pressed 100% cotton paper at a time which is amazing. Haven't tried my 300# paper yet but I expect it will easily cut a sheet. If you are a crafter using paper cutouts you will have absolutely no problem. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!
