I was searching for a French style easel for plein air painting and this one was the best price. When compared to others I came across on line and in stores, this one was less and included canvases and paints, and more. It came pre-assembled. It was a little tricky to figure out how to unfold the legs and which bolts to loosen and tighten. And one of the bolts had come loose during delivery and was at the bottom of the box. After watching some online videos about french easels, I was all set. I have used it outside to paint fully standing and inside with legs folded underneath on a table. The paints it comes with are great.looks great thick or diluted with water and they mix well.
