Needs a little fiddling; Magenta did not appear on the page. After pulling out the ink to inspect it, I found that even though I tore off the yellow tab, it had left a sticky layer so the hole originally covered by the tab was still blocked . I used a paper clip to pierce the membrane. to open this little hole. I'm not sure what that tiny hole is at the top for, but ink won't come out of the cartridge if that hole is blocked. Maybe it has something to do with the air pressure in the cartridge because when I pierced it there was a hiss in the air. I put the ink back in the printer after a quick fix, got the machine to clean the print head nozzle and that was it. it was good and good!
