Honestly I didn't expect this to be a high quality device (yes in the photo) and I was pleasantly surprised by its quality finish, attention to small details (weather protection) and all that goes with it Accesories. This is to meet your needs. The camera is mounted outside on our front deck, the ledge (door above) was the perfect place to mount the solar panel (overlooking the front of the house) and the cable was more than long enough to keep the panel out of sight the street. .My only suggestion is to update your security profile so that gmail doesn't prompt you to turn on "less secure app settings". This is the only way to get Gmail to accept the connection. The email and video (600KB - 1.3MB depending on how long someone is in view) were perfect and sent within 10 seconds (no activity detected which occurs immediately). So far I'm very impressed. Well done!** A few things I missed **I installed a 64GB Samsung Evo Plus MicroSD card before using it for the first time. It was recognized and formatted during installation. For those who cannot format it, I can confirm that this make and model works. I didn't switch from night vision to headlights because it didn't work (it works very well). I call it a spotlight because when someone walks up to the door it illuminates the entire front porch replacing the porch light which is pretty easy to ignite.
