Attention customers, I've ordered three of these and none of them work, even after a firmware update. The newer screens have a brighter dimming area, a printable area that shouldn't be printed, but this wasn't a problem with the older SLM4.5-5FPC-A LCD model. The shaded area was very dark and allowed normal printing. These newer LCD screens cannot do this properly, model FXD045FW11S-FPC-A1. I contacted Longer and received a firmware update but it didn't work properly and didn't fix the issue. I also bought an LCD screen from ebay and had the same problem. . It seems related to the LCD screen model. The old model worked fine, but the new model didn't print properly, resulting in hard resin blocks being printed. For testing I printed without the resin tank and build plate, in all cases with the newer LCD the dark area allowed light into the LCD. Construction area is very small. I installed my old LCD screen and the dimming range was clear and didn't let any light through. If you buy this LCD screen I hope you have better luck because now I have a printer that doesn't have the spare parts needed to print. . It's time to look for another SLA printer. Update: 3 Stars - January 13th 2021 After a long time of extended support they stopped writing to me but I was able to pinpoint the problem and as mentioned before the problem is related to the quality of the LCD screen. I bought 3 LCD screens from 2 sources, 1 was here at Revain and all 3 were damaged in some way. I was finally able to buy 2 more on another online bidding site and they worked. Overall I am not satisfied with the customer service and the quality of the product, no apologies or discounts for my time. To summarize for those who have a Longer 10 SLA printer that requires an LCD screen. - This is a newer LCD screen model. If you have older firmware, contact support. with the resin tank removed and the light on. Look for a dark frame around the LCD. If it's gray, flickering, or missing pixels, the LCD may be damaged and need to be returned. The working LCDs I received had writing on the back, probably from testing the LCD. . Remove this with a soft cloth, use small circles and avoid abrasive cleaners/cloths. We wish you the best of luck and happy printing.
