I wanted this for a paramotor and sent it to a remote location. I actually ordered 2 units - just in case one gets in trouble. One device was dead on arrival - probably a dead battery that cannot be replaced. The second device worked in the pre-install test, but after installation it stopped reading RPM. I suspect it's possible that the cable was damaged during the installation of the second unit. However, when I removed this dead block I cut the wire and made sure it still had good integrity. Returns require the device to be returned, which cannot be done remotely.
