Practical tachometer with integrated clock and operating hours counter.

The device works well and looks pretty neat. Installation was very easy and it is powered by an internal replaceable battery. It's small enough to be installed anywhere, but big enough to be easy to read. It works very well on my Honda Ruckus.

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Installed on a Honda Ruckus

This tachometer shows an accurate RPM with my noise. I wrapped pretty much all of the exposed red wire around the spark plug wire as close to the spark plug as possible. Then I tied both ends of the wire so it wouldn't come undone. Lots of cables to install on Honda Ruckus.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • High Price

Great for use with my paramotor

It's small and easy to install. It's easy to read and accurate. The button to switch from Touch to Watch requires a pretty deep press to change it, but I don't have to do it often. Goes to sleep when the engine is not running. Mount it just below my throttle and it's easy to see at a glance. I am considering buying one for my lawnmower to keep track of service intervals. A good product!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Useless features

Misleading product description/lack of instructions

The first thing that caught my attention was the lack of instructions. When I go to the manufacturer's website, the product description does not match what is in the box. When I click the link for a guide, I get the message "Oops, that's bad". As far as I can tell, this product does not have "custom notifications" for maintenance reminders as stated in the product description.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Not what I expected with pwc

I bought this for my 2021 GP1800r Svho. The only target I wanted was max RPM to set it up better. I've been told to buy a few and a few I found said they don't. I bought this and set it up correctly, it's accurate up to 4000 rpm and then it starts halving the rpm. I accelerated to 8000 rpm and once registered 7400 rpm, the rest 6000 rpm. Also tried to ground the back of the device, no change. So if you're looking for something similar to what I'm using, check out Searon for $23.99.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Nothing

Difficult to read with sunglasses on

Works great as a budget tachometer on my 1930 Ford Model A. As the tachometer is an LCD display and not a backlight, polarized sunglasses will cause the # symbols to go off the display disappear. Cable wrapped around the high voltage coil wire, not using as many turns around the coil wire as advertised, the signal was too strong because it was at the output of the high voltage coil. I also had to program the "pulses per revolution" parameter, which is different from what the instructions say…

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Inaccurate Best in Parts

I have a Suzuki DR200 and called customer service to determine what PPR setting to use. The first rep told me to use PPR 0.5 and after showing 5000 idle I called again and the tech told me to use PPR 1.0. RPM was still high, 2500 RPM at idle, and revs jumped too. a lot of. When the device arrived, half of the LCD was not working. This quality is not enough to recommend this device. In the future, instead of an inductive tachometer, I would find an analog unit connected directly to the coil.

Pros
  • Consistent Test Results
Cons
  • Frequency

Dead on arrival - sensors

I wanted this for a paramotor and sent it to a remote location. I actually ordered 2 units - just in case one gets in trouble. One device was dead on arrival - probably a dead battery that cannot be replaced. The second device worked in the pre-install test, but after installation it stopped reading RPM. I suspect it's possible that the cable was damaged during the installation of the second unit. However, when I removed this dead block I cut the wire and made sure it still had good integrity…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • I really don't like this, everything is fine
