These are my first binoculars (not cheap children's binoculars) and I was thrilled. I'm not a professional and wanted a good quality pair of binoculars for the occasional family outing. I did a lot of research before deciding on this. Optical quality, weatherproof construction, light weight and price outweigh the low light benefits offered by other larger, heavier models, especially if you're looking for everyday family use.
