Earlier versions of the same product had a small "tooth" on the end of the jaws that grips the vent. Thanks to this, the mount worked very well and was durable. Without the "tooth" at the end, the grip on the ventilation bars is not so good. They have a rubber insert but I think both are needed for a snug fit. Otherwise a good product, it is well regulated, simple and small. I take it with me when I travel and use it on various rentals and it works great. It turns out that the air vents are basically where I want my phone to be.
