Earlier versions of the same product had a small "tooth" on the end of the jaws that grips the vent. Thanks to this, the mount worked very well and was durable. Without the "tooth" at the end, the grip on the ventilation bars is not so good. They have a rubber insert but I think both are needed for a snug fit. The one I got is handle type 1. The part that compresses the blinds has a little lip on the end so it can't be removed when tightening.
