The one I got is handle type 1. The part that compresses the blinds has a little lip on the end so it can't be removed when tightening. It works great and fits the length of the blinds on my 2013 Toyota Corolla. The adjustment that compresses that grip and the adjustment that compresses the angle your phone is facing you can be rotated as far as you want, which is amazing. The light gray pads that touch the phone are a bit rubbery and it grips my phone really well to keep it in place even on bumpy roads. I bought the Capture Style 2 for my mom and brother. That works great too. There isn't a ridge on the end that would match the blinds, but there was no problem with it coming loose. The handle differs from style 1 in that you simply flip the lever to set torque 1 or torque 2. The hardest tightening was fairly tight on my mom's 2014 Honda Civic and no problem on my brother's 2005 Corolla. Overall 5 stars, BUT! I will mention one small thing. On mine, when it was very cold here in Minnesota, a few times he just didn't hold my phone. Too cold for the springs or something. But on cold days it's ok. If you live in Minnesota this phone holder is good 360 days a year lol.
