The good thing about a stem: I need a stem to put my wife's bike more upright. The size and angle clearly achieve this goal, bringing the handlebar higher and closer to it. For that, it works great and seems to be robust enough to cope with everyday use based on the weight alone. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and this stem is cheap which is a good thing. Cons: Barrel doesn't fit very well. The handlebars feel solid, but the steerer tube pinch bolts need to be tightened much more than usual in order for them to hook into the steerer tube. When I did this, it seemed to stretch or move slightly, which changed the tension on the headset bearings. It took a lot of fiddling to fix everything. All in all you get what you pay for. This is a good product and if that is what you are looking for and willing to pay for then this is your choice. If you need a precision component, look elsewhere.
