Great tool! Good price! Crazy value for all features.

This device literally has pages of information about how your USB port works. You can view these pages using the buttons on the edges of the device. Information is displayed on a surprisingly good color display, which is also built-in. This device is actually smaller than the 512GB flash drive I have, but it has all that tech and a screen! The many features it offers are fantastic, but there's one more thing that caught my eye. This dongle has built-in Bluetooth that communicates with the free Windows app! So I plugged it into the USB ports while trying to power these Raspberry Pi 3B+ boards and I was able to see all the data on my laptop's display in real time. It turned out that all three boards would not operate at full speed until they received a stable minimum of 5.37 volts. This is slightly higher than the USB specification requires, so power adapters aren't to blame. They all output about 5.2 volts. So this device paid for itself by preventing me from having to buy another 20 power supplies to try and find a working one in vain. Now that I knew exactly what I needed I searched online for a 5.5v brick that would output over 3.5 amps. When I connected this device, it worked perfectly. The voltage drop under load was ideal at 5.4 V. I bought a few more and threw away some of the poor quality stones I found with this USB tester. I also found out-of-spec USB ports on two computers and the router. It has become a staple in my geek toolbox. Highly recommended.
