The 'twigs' on the rim are thick, flexible wires that can be moved around at will. I have an #M hook on the front door holding it up. I note that the "foliage" closes the peephole on your front door, if you have one. I'd recommend moving it around a bit to make sure it doesn't block your view, as the branches stretched out a bit more than I expected (but it looks more aesthetically pleasing the way I positioned it).
