Received mine in 3 days (very impressed) and it worked beautifully right out of the box and blows out heat right away. Things you should know: This little "oven" is cranberry colored (not red). I think only women will be interested in it. why I bought the additional protection plan (I thought it was $19, why not be safe (and why be cheap?)) The compliments far outweigh the complaints so I decided to take a chance. The device was light enough for this 61 year old woman (with arthritic back) to climb stairs (think it would be easy to move from room to room then) I have to say it's amazing to look at! We live in San Antonio, Texas. We'll probably use it for the atmosphere (flame looks real? Of course it doesn't charm ants and is delightful? YES We plan to keep the thermostat (for a couple of winter months here (about 3 LOL I'm laughing cuz we're from New England)) until Being able to turn off 68 or 67 night so we don't heat the house from 4 bedrooms (there's only 2 of us and our 'puppy' sleeps in the bedroom with us) But to be honest this little block is just adorable huh shall I say and let's be honest much more stylish than your barrel - mill heater I will let you know if I run into any problems with it as will some others.
