This box meets my needs. Every time I use it I'm reminded to put aside a small profit to buy one of the expensive string cutters. I couldn't cut the soap with the plastic string that came with it. But they gave me extra and it would be great if the string worked for me. I'm having a hard time aligning the bench scraper/knife as the top of the soap is higher than the sides of the box. This is a great article. That's not what I need. But it's still constructed well enough to get around and give me relatively straight cuts in the soap bars. The whole thing is easy to clean.
