Fried all four of my disks. At first I couldn't see any of the drives in Windlws or Ubuntu. So I called Startech, they had a technical support hotline on their website. The guy was helpful and told me to disconnect and then reconnect the drive case. When I plugged the case back in, it seemed to work when the fan finally started spinning. So I put my hard drives in and "popped," then smoke, then the smell of burning electronics. The problem then escalated to Startech and they needed information about hard drives etc which I was happy to provide. When I asked if they would replace my hard drives which had been destroyed by their fall, they happily informed me that they didn't care that my drives had burned out and that this was my problem.
