Sections burn best in Indoor String Lights

I bought two lights. We put the lights outside on Thanksgiving and turn them on on a timer for about 4 hours a day. In about two weeks of use, about a six foot section burned out. A few weeks later (before Christmas) another six foot section burned on the same thread. That looks ridiculous. The second strand looks ok so far. I bought these lights thinking the Magnavox brand was better quality than some no name brands. I guess I was wrong.
