I needed a compact and durable portable drive. I've never had an SSD before, so I decided to give this one a try. The drive comes with a small case and a USB adapter. Speed: I was wondering if the Merucy Portable SSD would deliver on its promised read speeds of up to 1000MB/s. So I connected it to my Macbook Pro. I used the BlackMagicDesign Disk Speed Test. The result of the test (as in the picture): the write speed was around 930 MB/s and the read speed was around 944 MB/s. As expected, this is above the advertised 90% for both read and write speeds. Size and Portability: It is very small, light and feels good in hand as you can see in my pic2 compared to my Iphone X. Interface: USB-C 3.1 Gen 2, or now you can call it USB 3.2 Gen 2, it also comes with a USB-C to USB-A adapter, which is very useful. Compatibility: It is very easy to use. It is ready to use and requires no software installation. It works with my Macbook, Iphone (requires adapter) and Xbox. The LED display is tiny and dark. That's great if you've ever used a drive connected to a large display while the room lights were off. The drive indicator doesn't bother you, as many drives have bright drive indicators. Generally due to -1. high speed 2. The build quality is shockproof, water and dust resistant3. Compatibility and game performance4. Portability I highly recommend this product.
