Ooooh I was a bit apprehensive about buying them because of the reviews and I understand the problem. They are presented in women's sizing, so a size 12 fits my husband like a size 10. He says they actually fit better than the larger brands. They're not too narrow either. I think for most apartments you should probably get an insole to help with pain. Like bigger brands, these shoes take time to break in. So far my husband loves them and they have become his new favorite shoe.
