It took a little work to install this but once installed it worked great for several months. Then one day it just died, I tried different power supplies, reconfigurations etc; but the motor is dead. I contacted the seller's customer service at service@rollerhouses.com and received an email asking "Please check if you plug in and then press the red button on the motor head there are beeps from the roller motor?” which I answered. After that, however, not a word, no emails, no matter how many times I called. So my guess is that even if the unit is completely dead, customer service is also down so they don't have to replace it under warranty. So please be aware when purchasing this because if (not if) this happens you're out of luck and now the screen will stay in place until you find a suitable replacement. I've bought quite a few of these and have automated many of the blinds in my home. Now I'm looking for an alternative seller that actually has genuine customer service so I can replace them. I understand that products can die over time, especially with an engine, but not in 4 months. I expect it will last longer, especially if you only use it twice a day.
