I bought 5 different pairs of socks to compare in a hot dry environment in my army boots on deployment. I'm the bastard who builds things to make them work. Socks are as follows: when buying socks, pay attention to the material, how they hold, and the ease of taking off plays a big role under armor, tactical thermal equipment is a popular sock. The 281Z military boot socks are the 2nd favourite, they're almost as cool, they just look dirtier when you take them off, otherwise no complaints. The first few times they felt tight but ran well, no complaints this time, very comparable to the other two so far. They come with a lifetime guarantee, I don't think others are really attracted to the first 3 brands until wash day, then I have to wear the rest below. Sock. they may bunch up and sag at the lower leg. Military Wick Dry Maximum Mid Calf Boot Sock - I bought these by mistake, I have the green version and loved them from the first use and 4 months later they were just meh. there isn't much spandex in it, so taking it off is pretty annoying. They feel good but really start to sag after a few weeks. This is by far the least popular of the group
