Sock. they may bunch up and sag at the lower leg. Military Wick Dry Maximum Mid Calf Boot Sock - I bought these by mistake, I have the green version and loved them from the first use and 4 months later they were just meh. there isn't much spandex in it, so taking it off is pretty annoying. They feel good but really start to sag after a few weeks. This is by far the least popular of the group
