If you have a 9.5 take the middle one

. Typical 6-12 department store socks fit like crap. Your size chart says I should be tall. I bought big and honey. The big one is a little loose. Wednesday was perfect. This sock is great if you're carrying a backpack and have to walk a few miles. Very convenient.

Pros
  • . Great for a small home.
Cons
  • . Repair.

Like wrapping my legs in love

I used to think paying so much for socks was crazy. And then I bought a pair, put them on my feet and my whole world changed. I'm in the military and spend a lot of time on my feet with weight on my back and these socks really make a HUGE difference. The price now seems quite cheap. Also, I still have my first pair of Fox River socks that I bought in Iraq in 2007 and they are still holding up well. I cannot recommend them enough.

  • Few competitors disappear

Hoping for more

After reading all the positive reviews I decided to buy a pair of these socks. I like the fact that these are thick socks that keep feet warm and have good padding. The main downside for me is that these socks don't stay on the calves. I hate socks that fall off my feet a short time after putting them on. I bought the Dickies version and while they aren't as soft as the Fox River they stay put and that's important to me.

Good vein support

Heavier socks. Good vein support. My favorite socks are Darn Tough Vermont Merino Wool Mountaineering Extra Cushion Sock. Not worth the money

Good socks but they are a bit tight on my calf (that's the only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 have given). They seem to be made quite well and are thick enough to cushion my booted feet. I would recommend them. Updated (12/10/18). Mama always said when you can't say good things. The first pair I bought were great, about 2 months old. Then holes formed in both of the toes. I threw them away and tried again a few months later. I mean for the price they should be good right? Well now the

Fox River Strykers are good for clothes

During a business trip to Iraq in 2008 with money burning a hole in my pocket, I decided to buy Fox Rivers for $13 to see what a hype the triple price socks were causing. Last month, in November 2013, I was amazed to find that the same socks still work great in my sock arsenal and HAVE NO HOLES! When I realized I had tried over a dozen other $8 pairs that were thrown away with holes and thinning. FR serve long, simple and clear. Very satisfied. This "Stryker" sock in particular is of the same…

felt like winter socks to get hot for summer

I bought 5 different pairs of socks to compare in a hot dry environment in my army boots on deployment. I'm the bastard who builds things to make them work. Socks are as follows: when buying socks, pay attention to the material, how they hold, and the ease of taking off plays a big role under armor, tactical thermal equipment is a popular sock. The 281Z military boot socks are the 2nd favourite, they're almost as cool, they just look dirtier when you take them off, otherwise no complaints. The…
