I've been using these shampoo brushes for my thick curly 2c-3b hair for decades. Just last week I ordered one of the soft silicone shampoo brushes and 'no' failed to rid my scalp of the products we curly haired girls use to wash and condition. My husband got it after one use. And now we warn "loving" boys and girls! Be gentle! In fact, everyone should exercise caution when considering a new product. The individual bristles bend quite easily, but here you have a full arm, so together they're stiffer! I have to say that the design is surprisingly solid. I can't tell you how many of these (not this model) I've dropped in the shower to break into pieces. Not that bad boy, it's an integral part. The vents are impressive, two good shakes in the shower dissipate most of the water from the entire unit. In general, if you have thick hair for a period of time, you will get a clear scalp. I love it and highly recommend it to all curly kinky kinky boys and girls!
