Let me start by saying that I have experience with commercial slicers and I know what I'm getting into. I just needed something simple for the house. I bought it with a 50% discount which made the difference. The slicer is not a commercial Hobart but is great for small home slicing needs. I use it to slice pork loin for sandwiches.
