Revainrating 5 out of 5

Super thin, no problems with .

Super flat, easy-to-close lid. It's barely noticeable and doesn't draw as much attention as my previous little bookmark, which I'd have to re-insert or get a new one if I really wanted the video to be active. So many people don't realize that hackers or the NSA etc. can turn on your camera on your devices but turn off the lights so you don't know someone is watching. It might sound paranoid, but with mass surveillance and artificial intelligence being used to read texts, bug calls, monitor microphones and cameras on devices, and alert some creepy dudes to things of interest, it's not like anyone would sitting around for hours watching you, but the fact that the computer can also warn someone about certain things that they can see in the frame. Watch Edward Snowden's Citizenfour to get a better idea of what's possible and how agents reviewing your sexts easily share them with their peers when they find something good. It was recently discovered that the very popular Zoom video conferencing application can turn on your camera without your knowledge and if you try to uninstall this application, a copy will move to another location on your computer. It was a respected company! That's not paranoia. This is a very real problem. Sometimes it's just nice when you walk into a video conferencing room when you don't accidentally walk in with the video running when you didn't plan it and you have a headboard.

Pros
  • Easy to use: remove the back tape, stick it on the camera, press firmly and hold for a few seconds. When replacing, simply peel off without leaving a sticky residue.
Cons
  • No Automatic
