So I was on Facebook and saw an ad for the Stone Stream shower head. It looked amazing with rocks spinning and a shower head exploding as the water came on. So I went to their website and it was about $25 for the base model and another $5 for the three function model. Decided to see if they were selling on Revain and this one showed up. I don't think these are a Stone Stream branded shower head, not that I care about the brand, but they look the same. And it was 1/3 the price. I've read some of the reviews and seem to have had a generally positive experience. Bought and received in two days. The pictures on Amazon made me wonder if the beads came pre-installed or not. They are, but the anti-lime rubber thingy isn't installed, and there aren't any instructions explaining what to do with it. It's pretty easy though, you unscrew the chrome bracket and glue the rubber behind it. I've decided to leave it on for now even though I have hard water so I might have to use it. The shower head looks very nicely assembled. They come with a regular sized roll of Teflon tape, they're not stingy at all! So if you have some other plumbing projects like you need to redo the whole house, they include enough to do it. The showerhead is plastic, but the brown stones and chrome frame give it a luxe feel. These aren't premium materials, but when you look at them they appear to be premium. That's very pleasant. I have pretty good water pressure so that wasn't a problem for me. Yes, the pressure is slightly higher, but the holes are smaller, so the pressure increases and the volume decreases, like sticking your thumb in a garden hose. It's interesting when you shower with it because the water is so good it feels airy. Almost like standing next to a waterfall, you get that flow of air and fog. There is plenty of water to shower in and I love the feeling of air around my head. It's strange and beautiful. The real test is my wife, she has long thick hair. She said she was worried it wouldn't hold up for washing, but it worked surprisingly well. Happy woman happy life. She's picky and she passed the test. As a bonus, my 7 year old son also said it was amazing. It's worth noting that the rocks don't spin like in the video I saw, they bounce and dance on the ground. Having watched other videos of the stone stream, in real life the stones don't seem to rotate either. It has 3 settings: a wide beam on the outside, a more focused beam in the middle, and both beams at the same time (my preferred mode). ) It is, I've only used it for a few showers so far but I really like it. 1 month update 06/02/18: I still love it! it really started to get clogged easily due to our hard water, the water seemed like little needles. I removed the chrome ring and screen and soaked it in vinegar overnight, the problem went back to my windy waterfall. I tested the hard water adapter, it should be installed instead of the metal screen, the flow is similar to a normal shower head. 3 month update 8/8/18: Still amazing. Soak in vinegar overnight every 2-3 weeks. I stopped taking it apart and just smashed the front end into a plastic bowl with a white transducer. The shower head is holding up well and still looks like new. I highly recommend this shower head.
