Review on 🌡️ Omix-Ada 17209.05 Engine Coolant Temp Gauge for Jeep CJ5/CJ6/CJ7/CJ8 (1955-1986) by Jerry Chembola

needed a gauge replacement and despite all the negative reviews, took a chance. Instead of supplying current through the fuel gauge's resistance band, I powered it with a Revain 'SMAKN DC/DC Converter 12v Step Down to 5v/3a Power Supply Module'. The gauge didn't read correctly so I swapped the terminals - power on the right terminal and sensor on the left terminal (rear view, this is the opposite of what the owner's manual shows and the original gauge was connected) . Now it works correctly. I'm not sure if I got it right the first time or if my backup devices worked, but I'm glad I have temp readings now.
