Didn't work for gauge sets

Didn't work properly, when connected correctly the arrow went back, it wasn't misconnected, it was just a bad block and there were a lot of problems with the return

Pros
  • New
Cons

Polarity reversed and 12 VDC required. DC vs 5VDC (OEM)

Sensor will not work if installed according to instructions (instructions not included but found a wiring diagram on website) and will affect the fuel level sensor due to wrong polarity Der Temperature sensor was assembled in reverse order. Also, the OEM jumper needs to be lengthened to accommodate polarity. The sensors work correctly after correcting the polarity by rewiring the original system.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Requires power socket

On the alert - parts

needed a gauge replacement and despite all the negative reviews, took a chance. Instead of supplying current through the fuel gauge's resistance band, I powered it with a Revain 'SMAKN DC/DC Converter 12v Step Down to 5v/3a Power Supply Module'. The gauge didn't read correctly so I swapped the terminals - power on the right terminal and sensor on the left terminal (rear view, this is the opposite of what the owner's manual shows and the original gauge was connected) . Now it works correctly…

Better OEM. Yes, you read it right!

I don't normally write reviews on Amazon but this is a great product. I think a lot of people blame this product for not working when the problem is actually the car's wiring. I restore Jeep CJs for a living and can attest that every pair of these sensors that I have installed have worked flawlessly. Yes, the wiring differs slightly from the OEM. See my charts in pictures. No, they are not much thicker than OEM sensors. Who says this didn't remove the brown backing before installing it in the…

DO NOT BUY OMIX ADA SENSORS - THEY ARE FULLY MADE IN CHINA CR*P!

DO NOT BUY OMIX ADA SENSORS - THEY ARE PERFECT AND COMPLETELY CR*P MADE IN CHINA! I bought 3 pressure gauges, all in the garbage! And not only did I lose what I paid for it, but I wasted days, 16 hours, and another $150 on my mechanic to diagnose and fix a faulty fuel gauge. AND 2 TEMPERATURE SENSORS HAVE NEVER FOUND. My 1986 CJ was a framed restoration - a beautiful show Jeep that my ex and I restored in 1995. I sold it and was ready to move to a new owner in July 2014. I wanted to give this…

Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge OMIX Ada

I have used this gauge before and can say it really works. If you find that installing this gauge with an OMIX Ada fuel gauge in the instrument cluster of a CJ5 or CJ7 Jeep does not display one or both, contact OMIX Ada Technical Support. I did so and was told that, I don't remember now, the sensor in question was tied to the left fuel or temp sensor. I was instructed to switch the position A wire to position S on one of the sensors and it worked. I remember making a new jumper from the gas…

Pros
  • Hands Free Operation
Cons
  • Very Expensive
