I wrote this review based on my dog, a 40 lb Standard Schnauzer. The cage wire is of good thickness and strong enough that it can never escape or destroy any part of the cage. We used the case until the zipper broke and when that happened the case didn't fit snugly and our pup was able to grab it and tear it to shreds. He must have had a blast pulling it through the wire holes! After our pup found he enjoyed the challenge, we used 2 towels and a blanket before forgoing any type of blanket. very good, but if the case is important to you, you might want to look at another product.
