This hat does not have a chin strap but fits my 5 year old well with no shifting or puckering. However, there is little room for growth so I would say the best age range for this product is 3-6 years rather than 3-10 years. The orange color is strong and matches the product photo. Initially I would have given this product 4 stars, but after about two weeks the stitching that connects the velcro to the plastic visor of the face shield started to unravel. (We haven't washed it yet so this deterioration was just normal wear and tear.) If I could sew I would fix it and give it a 3 star rating but I can't so it's 2 stars. product for me.
