I've been using Nutribiotic Non-Organic Rice Protein for over a decade with no problems. It used to be $23 for £3. although the price has increased significantly over time. I mentioned the price because the non-organic product ended up reaching $40, which is the price of the organic formula, so I decided to try the organic version. BIG MISTAKE. The organic version has a texture of wheat bran microflakes that fall out when mixed with fruit, juice and yogurt. It tastes sour, almost like paint thinner tastes when added to a drink. To be honest, the taste was so disgusting that I couldn't even take a second sip of the organic protein shake. The vanilla flavor was lost in the mix. It was terrible at a level that was pretty hard to get to. Worse than what a carob tree might present to a connoisseur of dark Swiss chocolate. If I could give negative stars to an organic formula, I would. I rarely take the time to write a product review, but this situation was so extreme that not writing one was almost sloppy. On the other hand, I grabbed a refill of the tried and true non-organic version and drank it this morning with noticeable relief. With any luck, Nutribiotic will learn from their organic mistake and fix the problem quickly.
