Works on old industrial house floors

We bought an old industrial house that was in very good bone but had a couple of big squeaky spots on the floor. Since we were in the process of replacing the carpet, I decided to fix the floors while they were bare. I initially grabbed the O'Berry #3232 base set just to see if the product would work on my floors because I couldn't find anything on the internet about using Squeak No More in an industrial home. They work great! I used the stud finder as directed, making sure to pre-drill to find the stud and not the empty spot. So since I already had the drill chuck and screw "bracket" from the kit I decided to order in bulk. screws. These are the same bolts that came with the original kit. Here's an important piece of information: I watched a YouTube video on how to use them on regular floors. For finished floors I think you need to pack them closer together as it is a form of pressed cardboard and not solid wood as shown in the videos. Either way, you're going through a lot more screws, but it really works. My two main very loud squeaks coming from the front door and in the center of the front room floor went away. I still have noisy floors in the laundry room and bedrooms, but I know I can conquer all of those squeaks with an O'Berry product. I'll probably have to order another box of screws before I'm done, but it's better than crawling under the house to attach the floor underneath (the only option shown online for industrial floors). No thank you. We have black widow spiders in our area. I would highly recommend this product for your industrial home. Remember. The distance must be tight. If you still have creaking, add more screws along the lines of the joists. I almost forgot I use a regular floor mount on carpeted floors. I just separate the fibers to make room for the 1/8" hole and make sure the fibers don't wrap around the drill bit. You may want to purchase a rug set for this project. Either way, the O'Berry system works!
