45 lb dog, 17 inch neck, bought a bigger one. doesn't seem to get in the way at all, solid metal D-ring, big enough, small metal ring for dog tags, unique colors and designs, reasonable price, not too wide like other collars we've seen. In general, the purchase is satisfied. Cons: Requires an additional stationary leather loop to allow the additional collar to slip through once attached. Our pup is 7 months old and still growing so we bought a collar that fits her now (at the last/tightest buckle hole) but there is still some slack to make the collar bigger when she gets another 10 to 12 months gains 20 pounds. Once secured around her neck, the "extra collar" sticks straight out, making the collar look sloppy rather than round and oversized, although it isn't. This shouldn't be a problem for you if the collar fits into the largest/loosest collar your dog can have, or maybe 1-2 buckle holes from the largest/loosest spot. Let's hope that as our pup grows and the "extra collar" gets smaller and smaller, it doesn't stick out as much. If this is not a problem for you, add a star. Haven't been outside at night to see how well the collar reflects/glows in the dark.
