Review on πŸ› Moen DN7050 Home Care Bathtub Safety Glacier Tread Mat - Enhance Your Bathroom Safety with Glacier Textured Design by Charmaine Murray

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Does the job - no complaints!

When my neighbors and I moved into our apartment, the shower stall was new and the shower manufacturer covered the floor with some kind of non-slip coating. However, after about five years, the train completely disappeared and our shower became dangerously slippery. To solve the problem (I'm the do-it-yourselfer in my house), I first tried installing 7.5" non-slip shower steps. I'd love to write a review to tell other buyers not to buy these, but I bought them from our local hardware store and unfortunately don't remember the brand. This is another reminder of why I usually buy everything online. Anyway, I followed all the application instructions (floor pre-cleaned and dried in the shower, left standing for 12 hours without a shower so that the glue sets properly, etc.), but within a week about 1/ 3 I needed a plan B, and it turned out to be a Moen running mat. It's incredibly easy to apply and I appreciate that unlike the step strips I've tried, it requires a 12 hour adjustment period after application during which the shower cannot be used. (That might not sound like much to most people, but our apartment consists of three women and only one shower, and we all have very different schedules, so it's actually quite difficult to find a 12-hour period in which we don't need someone to use the shower.) This is a regular shade of white that goes perfectly with our floor in the shower. My two roommates gave me positive feedback on this and I agree. Best of all, our shower floor is no longer an emergency room walkway waiting in the wings! Remember, it's all fun and games until someone breaks their neck.

Pros
  • I always liked it
Cons
